General Conditions - Renting and Staying at EcoLodge Le Grand Nichet

1. APPLICABLE PROVISIONS AND ACCEPTANCE OF THE GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

All guest reservations in accommodations owned by Nextgen Investments SRL are subject to these general conditions.

Unless expressly stipulated otherwise, the client is considered to have acknowledged the said conditions and to have accepted all the clauses at the time of the payment of the reservation deposit or of the taking possession of the room at the latest.
The owner certifies that the rented property complies with Book III of the Walloon Tourism Code relating to fire standards for local tourist accommodation.

2. FORMATION OF THE CONTRACT AND PAYMENT OF THE PRICE

The reservation becomes effective and valid as a rental contract as soon as the client has sent the owner a deposit of 50 EUR (fifty EUROS). Taking possession of the room is also valid as a rental contract. Prices include all charges, excluding tourist tax and possible surcharges.

The remaining balance of the stay is to be paid on arrival at the owner's property. Consumptions and additional services not foreseen in advance will be to be paid at the end of the stay to the owner. Unless otherwise specified, all payments are to be made in cash only.

3. CANCELLATION OF THE CONTRACT

Any cancellation by the client must be notified by letter, fax or e-mail to the owner.

• If the cancellation occurs more than 30 days before the beginning of the stay, the deposit will be refunded in full. In other cases, the deposit is forfeited to the owner.
• If the cancellation occurs less than 48 hours before the beginning of the stay, the deposit remains forfeited to the owner who reserves the right to claim the remaining balance of the price of the accommodation.
• In the event of a shortened stay, the price corresponding to the cost of the accommodation and the additional services requested but not consumed will be retained in full by the owner.
In case of cancellation of the stay by the owner before the start date of the stay, the owner must inform the client by all possible means and confirm by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt. The client, without prejudice to any recourse for compensation for any damage that may have been suffered, will be reimbursed immediately for the sums paid. Except in cases of force majeure, the client will also receive a compensation equal to half of the price of the stay if the cancellation occurs less than 48 hours before the beginning of the stay or will be offered accommodation of the same or higher quality than the price of the reservation.

4. ARRIVAL, DEPARTURE AND LENGTH OF STAY

The client must arrive on the specified day and at the specified times. By legal obligation, the client will be asked, upon arrival, to provide the information necessary for the verification of guests:

• the date of arrival
• the client’s identification data, i.e.:
a) Surname and first name - b) Place and date of birth - c) Nationality - d) ID document number presented,
• the name and surname of minor children accompanying an adult guest.

In case of a late or delayed arrival, the client must inform the owner. If the guest has not shown up within one hour of the day and time scheduled for the start of the stay, the reservation becomes null and void and the owner may make other use of the guest rooms.
The deposit remains the property of the owner who reserves the right to claim the balance of the price of the accommodation.
Unless otherwise agreed with the owner, departure is before 12:00 noon.
In the event of a reservation for a fixed period of more than 15 days, or for an indefinite period, the parties will draw up an inventory of fixtures and fittings. The client who makes a reservation with the owner for a determined period of time cannot in any case claim any right to remain in the premises beyond the period provided. Transfer or subletting is prohibited.

The client must respect the peaceful nature of the premises and use them in accordance with their purpose. He/she will take into account the peace and quiet of the other occupants and the owner. Parents will also ensure that their children respect the house rules.

The reserved stay is fixed for a specific number of people including babies and young children. If the number of guests exceeds this number, the owner has the right to refuse the additional guests or to oblige the guest to book another room (if available) to accommodate these guests, at the posted price.
Refusal can under no circumstances be considered as a modification or breach of contract at the initiative of the owner so that in the event of the client's departure, no refund can be considered.
Pets are only accepted by special agreement with the owner. In the event of failure to comply with this rule, the owner has the right to refuse the client entry to his/her room. Refusal can in no case be considered as a modification or a breach of contract at the initiative of the owner so that in the event of the client's departure, no reimbursement can be considered.
The client is asked not to smoke or eat in his room to avoid accidents that could negatively impact the quality and atmosphere of the accommodation. He/she agrees to leave the room and the furniture made available to him/her in good condition.
